Avni Parekh dishes on Family Karma
Avni Parekh revealed she’s “very excited for the future,” and hinted at her excitement to be a part of Bravo “if they ask me back”. The Family Karma star told us, “It was my pleasure working with the network.”
Family Karma has not been renewed for a season after the 2023 episodes, but Avni has kept herself occupied with her business ventures. She’s been on a tour for her three recently-released self-help books.
Avni also said she is “very thankful to the show for allowing her to talk about my book,” but added, “The majority of my audience are people who haven’t even watched the show.”
From yoga studio to business CEO
Avni once worked and managed a yoga studio for seven years, working six days a week with barely any time off. Now, she is the proud owner of her own athleisure company and the author of four books.
She credits her parents for her success, described as “two divorced parents and business people of Indian background,” for instilling a sense of “independence” in her growing up.
The Bravo star was born in Essex, UK, before moving to Miami at four months. Avni later became known for helping out her local community while at college, before going on to manage a yoga studio.
It was then public relations for Avni on a national level when she would go into the office from 9 am to 7 pm. She soon found herself on Family Karma, and now has the “flexibility of creating my schedule”.

Bravo star is ‘opening up her life’
Avni prides herself on being a private person, despite being on Family Karma. She spoke on how it’s “commendable that everybody in reality TV puts their life out there,” and wants to do the same.
She told Reality Titbit, “If allowed a different reality show, I’m completely open to it. I’m opening my life up more than I used to. When you go into reality TV, you get an idea and feel of that.”
“You know your life is going to be exposed in different ways, but you don’t know how. For me, I had a good experience but some people have a negative experience,” Avni continued.
Avni uses her platform to help teenagers and adults through mindfulness and encourages others to use their gifts. She told us: “Each person has a gift. If we’re able to truly harness it, we can do anything.”
