He is starting strong by featuring on CNN’s African Voices, where he opened up about living with the disease.
The “Rodo” crooner recounted how he faced backlash after discussing his condition in his song “5 Star.”
Gold also spoke about the numerous challenges he has faced since childhood due to sickle cell disease.
He highlighted his reason for speaking out: knowing that many others with the disease are unable to share their stories.
Acknowledging his unique platform and opportunity, Adekunle Gold is dedicated to making a significant impact and supporting other sickle cell patients in their struggles.
