This assurance follows his recent triumph at the 25th TGMA, where his hit track ‘Manodzi’ secured him the coveted songwriter of the year award.
In an exclusive interview with TV3’s Berla Mundi on Friday, June 7, 2024, the renowned crooner underscored his status as one of the industry’s premier songwriters, asserting that he deserves further recognition for his exceptional talent.
“I’m happy that finally, eventually, more of songwritership is going to come to me because I am one of the good songwriters in this place, like factually,” he remarked, exuding confidence in his craft.

“I feel like every five years, I come back to claim the title. From 2015 when I won, I came back for it in 2019, and I won it in 2024, who knows, maybe the next five years, I will win,” he mused, hinting at the possibility of future triumphs.
