Captain Hook is Shaker’s debut album, released by BBnZ Live in December 2015, when he still went by Lil Shaker. The title came from fans, who had started calling him Captain Hook for the choruses he wrote on other people’s songs. The streaming version has 16 tracks and runs for about 58 minutes, and lists it under a 2016 date.
It carries his two big songs of 2015: “Madakraa”, with Joey B and E.L, and “Yellow Sisi”, with Pappy Kojo. Sarkodie is on “Hello”, E.L on “Pray”, Epixode on “Do You”, and Pappy Kojo and Joey B share “Aben Wo Ha”. Ko-Jo Cue, soon to be his partner on Pen & Paper, shows up twice, on “E No Be Hype” and on the near six-minute “Fire” with Stargo and Medal. Production came from Magnom, E.L, Kuvie and Shaker himself.
