BBNaija's Aikou and Flora could win ₦160m after Biggie's surprise Gambit twist

Biggie's Gambit twist hands viewers power over Aikou and Flora's ₦160m fate

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu dropped the "Operation Release the Gambit" twist on Sunday's live show, telling viewers they will decide whether Aikou, Flora, or both are reinstated into the race for the ₦160 million grand prize.

"The polls will open, and you will decide whether to release one or both of the Gambits, giving them the opportunity to play for the prize. The power is in your hands," Ebuka announced.

The development upends the deal both housemates signed when they accepted the Gambit arrangement earlier this month. That deal guaranteed them safety until the finale in exchange for surrendering their eligibility to win. The trade-off now appears negotiable.

The Gambit arrangement

Aikou and Flora became the season's first Gambits after a public vote. Flora claimed the female spot with 29.38 per cent of the vote, while Aikou secured the male position with 9.10 per cent.

Since then, both have operated as Biggie's agents, carrying out tasks behind the scenes while the rest of the house competed for a prize they could not win. The arrangement left them in a strange position: fully safe from eviction, yet locked out of the competition's ultimate reward.

Sunday's twist removes that lock. Viewers now have three options: reinstate Aikou, reinstate Flora, or bring both back into contention. Voting opened immediately after the live show ended.

Double eviction clears the house

Before the Gambit twist was unveiled, Sunday's show had already delivered a double eviction. Sultex and Goddessa became the sixth and seventh housemates to exit the competition this season.

Sultex polled 4.77 per cent of the votes, while Goddessa received 5.02 per cent. Bells, who also faced eviction, survived with 5.22 per cent. Seventeen housemates now remain in the house.

The evictions thin out a field that had grown crowded. Each week has chipped away at the original lineup, and the remaining housemates are now closer to the finale, where the ₦160 million prize awaits.

What the twist means for the game

The Gambit twist introduces a layer of uncertainty that was not part of the original design. Both Aikou and Flora had accepted their fate as non-contenders, and their presence in the house has been defined by that limitation. They have watched nominations, challenges, and evictions unfold without personal stakes.

That changes if viewers vote to release one or both of them. A reinstated Gambit would enter the prize race with a significant advantage: neither has faced eviction since joining the arrangement, and both have avoided the wear and tear of weekly survival. They would join the competition fresh, with no voting history against them.

The decision now rests with the audience. The polls are open, and the outcome will determine whether Aikou, Flora, or both return to contention for the ₦160 million grand prize.
