Davido has announced an exclusive live premiere for his forthcoming album, 'Oriade', in London on August 11. The Afrobeats superstar will take the stage at the O2 Forum Kentish Town for a special show, offering fans a chance to experience the new album before anyone else.
London Set for Exclusive 'Oriade' Premiere
Davido shared the news on his X handle, writing: “London! Join me on Aug. 11 at the O2 Forum Kentish Town for a very special show. This will be the first and only chance to hear Oriade performed live, so if you want to experience the new album before anyone else. Tickets are on sale now I’Il see you there! “.
The album, set to drop on July 31, marks Davido's 15 years in music. With lead single “I Know Who I Be,” featuring South African producers Jazzwrld and GL Ceejay, fans are getting their first real taste of where this album is headed.
A Return to Roots for Davido's 'Oriade'
The 13-track Oriade is a deliberate shift back to Davido's original, high-energy African sound rather than heavily pop-focused cross-overs. It follows his 2025 Billboard chart hit album “5ive”. Davido had earlier spoken to Billboard about the album, saying: “Over fifteen years ago, I decided to trust something I couldn’t fully explain. I just knew music was my destiny. The biggest blessings often come from betting on yourself, even when the destination isn’t in sight yet,”.
Fans and Critics Awaiting 'Oriade' Release
Davido's decision to release 'Oriade' on July 31 has left fans and critics eagerly anticipating the album's drop. The Afrobeats superstar has built a reputation for pushing boundaries in the music industry, and 'Oriade' promises to be no exception. With its blend of traditional African sounds and modern production, 'Oriade' is set to be a game-changer in the music scene.
