Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has released his new six-track mixtape titled “The Championship,” now available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.
Before the project’s launch, Sarkodie revealed that his latest compilation, led by the track ‘Brag,’ is dedicated to his loyal hip hop fans. The rapper mentioned that the month-long recording process drew fresh inspiration from his earlier works, such as “Makye” and “Sarkology.” This collection explores themes of trauma, survival, success, loyalty, and longevity, featuring contributions from long-time collaborator Joey B, and up-and-coming artists Xlimkid and Beeztrap KOTM. Production was handled by Fortune Dane, Altra Nova, and M.O.G Beatz.
As a BET award winner and one of Africa’s most decorated hip hop artists, Sarkodie has released nine solo albums, with his latest, “Jamz,” coming out in 2022.

In anticipation of releasing “The Championship,” Sarkodie partnered with blockchain platform Opulous during a promotional run in London, UK. This collaboration allows fans to invest in shares of the project.
On social media, Sarkodie expressed his long-held desire to involve his fans more directly: “I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest because I’m blessed to have the best fanbase in the world. Thanks to @opulousapp for giving me the platform to let my fans own shares in my music. Myself and @opulousapp are coming together to give away a good percentage of my new mixtape #TheChampionshipMixtape to lucky fans! You guys deserve this and more for the support you’ve shown me over the years.”
