Grammy-winning artist Tems has expressed her sentiments regarding the reception of her music among Nigerians, stating that many do not fully connect with her musical style and sound. During an interview with Korty, when asked if she feels valued and understood by Nigerians in relation to her music, Tems responded by indicating that she believes they may not entirely grasp the essence and depth of her sound.
Despite this perception, Tems conveyed that she does feel a sense of personal appreciation from Nigerians as individuals. She remarked, “Understand, no. I don’t know if they appreciate my music but I feel appreciated as a person by Nigerians.”
