Biography

Didi B, born Bassa Zéréhoué Diyilem on 3 April 1992 in Abidjan, is one of Côte d’Ivoire’s best-known rappers. He grew up in the Ki-Yi artistic village, the son of a pianist father and a dancer mother, and was acting before he was rapping: at 13 he played the lead in the film Les Frères Kadogo.

In 2009 he formed the rap group Kiff No Beat with his cousins, and the group signed with Universal Music in 2017. He released his first solo album, Mojo Trône Vol. 1, in 2013, but his solo breakthrough came in 2022 with History (Mojotrône II), which won him Best Francophone Artist at the PRIMUD awards. Diyilem & Bazarhoff: Genius (2025) and Juventus Nueva Era followed.

On 6 November 2026 he released SHOGUN IN LAGOS, a 23-track album with guests including Focalistic, NSG and King Promise. A day earlier he dropped “GBEDU”, a joint single with the Nigerian rapper Phyno.
