Kwaku DMC

Kwaku DMC, born Derrick Okyere Brobbey, is a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and a leading member of the Asakaa (Ghana Drill) movement from Kumasi. He began writing rap lyrics in 2009 before joining Life Living Records, where he helped shape the Asakaa sound alongside artists such as Jay Bahd, O’Kenneth, Reggie, and City Boy.

He gained recognition with projects like Road to TrApHouse and Road to TrApHouse 2 before reaching a wider audience with songs such as “Off White Flow,” “Daa Waso,” “Aye Hu,” “Cinderella,” “Obaa Hemaa,” and “FAR FROM HOME.”

Known for his lyrical ability and storytelling, Kwaku DMC has collaborated with Headie One, Vic Mensa, Smallgod, and many of Ghana’s top hip-hop artists.
