Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, is a Ghanaian musician, songwriter, and performer widely recognized as one of Africa’s leading reggae, dancehall, and Afro-fusion artists. Born on March 5, 1988, in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region, he developed a passion for music at an early age and began performing while still in school. His breakthrough came with hit songs such as Climax, Baafira, and Mightylele, earning him widespread recognition in Ghana and beyond.
Over the years, Stonebwoy has built an international reputation through his energetic performances, socially conscious lyrics, and ability to blend reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats, and highlife. He is the founder of the Burniton Music Group (BMG) and has collaborated with global artists including Sean Paul, Keri Hilson, Beenie Man, Davido, and Zlatan. His achievements include winning the BET Award for Best International Act: Africa in 2015, along with numerous Ghana Music Awards and international honors.
