Biography
Camidoh is Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, a Ghanaian singer and songwriter born in Aflao on 21 January 1994 and raised by his mother in Ho. He went to Bishop Herman College and holds a marketing degree from the University of Professional Studies. He says hearing Akon in an internet café is what made him want to sing.
Grind Don’t Stop Records signed him in 2018, and his first single, “For My Lover”, featured Darkovibes. The Contingency Plan EP (2020) earned an album nomination at the Entertainment Achievement Awards. His real breakthrough was “Sugarcane”, released in December 2021. TikTok carried it across Africa, and the April 2022 remix with King Promise, Mayorkun and Darkoo went to number one on Apple Music in Nigeria.
That run earned him a BET Award nomination for Best New International Act in 2023. His projects since include A Lifetime Is Not Enough with GDS, L.I.T.A (2023), Trustn God (2025) and Amina (2026). His lane is smooth Afropop and R&B.
