Darkovibes

Darkovibes, born Paul Nii Amu Andrew Darko, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter from Labone in Accra. He came up as a member of La Même Gang, the alternative collective that also included RJZ, Kiddblack, $pacely, Nxwrth and KwakuBS, and helped give Accra’s new school its sound and look.

“Mercy” (2016) was his first standout single. His verse on Edem’s “Egboame” remix earned a Hip Hop Song of the Year nomination at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards, and La Même Gang released La Meme Tape the same year. He sang the hook on Camidoh’s debut “For My Lover” and featured on KiDi’s “Bless Me” and Stonebwoy’s “Stay Woke”. “Inna Song (Gin & Lime)” and “Je M’appelle” are among his own best-known records.

His solo projects run from Kpanlogo (2020) and The Cornerstone (2020) to BUTiFLY (2023), InterContinental (2024), Toxic Traits (2025) and I Am Bigger (2026). His music blends highlife, hip-hop and Afropop, and his dyed hair and retro styling got him picked out by British Vogue in 2017.
