Biography

Don Ndikberry is the stage name of Luvuyo Ndiki, an executive producer, songwriter and engineer from Cape Town. Music is his second job. By day he runs a 3D printing farm in the Western Cape, and he is the founder of 3D Printing Village (3PV) and 3PV Labs, a centre for innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2012 he started Red Cup Village, a movement meant to bring South Africans together across racial lines through village pop culture. His imprint, RCV Records, takes its initials from it.

He calls his sound Ubuntu Wave: amapiano fused with Xhosa and Zulu storytelling. He says he writes 80 to 90 per cent of his catalogue in isiXhosa and isiZulu, with English and Yoruba on some tracks. Unable to afford studio time, he built his own music software, Umoya Studio, and recorded on it during breaks between production runs. The program is in internal beta, and he plans to open-source part of it for other African artists.

His first release, “Mama Wethu”, came out in February 2026. Singles with Nigerian rapper Ice Prince (“One African Passport, One African Currency”) and ZanBhele (“Incwadi Yam”) followed. His debut album, INKQUBO, three years in the making, arrived on 14 August 2026 with 28 tracks. Vuyorido, his most frequent collaborator, also sings on the September single “Uphi? Ndilapha”.
