Eno Barony is Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, a Ghanaian rapper and songwriter born in Tema on 30 October 1991. She is a pastor’s daughter and studied at Kumasi Polytechnic.
“Tonga” (2014) got her on the radio, and she built her name through the 2010s with records alongside Shatta Wale (“Daawa”), Stonebwoy (“Touch the Body”), Medikal (“King of Queens”) and Kwaw Kese (“Gari”). “Fear No Man” (2018) was her turning point. That year she became the first Ghanaian woman nominated for Best Rapper at a major national awards.
In 2020 she won Best Female Rap Act at AFRIMMA. In 2021 she beat Sarkodie, Amerado, Medikal, Strongman and Joey B to become the first woman to win Best Rapper at the Ghana Music Awards, and she also took Rapper of the Year at the 3Music Awards. Her projects include Yaa Asantewaa (2020), Ladies First (2021) and No Manual (2025), with recent singles featuring Jay Bahd, Kweku Flick, Fuse ODG and Sista Afia.
