Biography
Kizz Daniel, formerly Kiss Daniel, is Daniel Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, a Nigerian singer and songwriter born in Abeokuta on 1 May 1994. He was writing songs by 11 and graduated in water engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in 2013.
He signed with G-Worldwide that year. “Woju” (September 2014), a mid-tempo highlife-pop song he had written at university, spent six weeks at number one on MTV Base’s Naija Top 10 and got a remix with Davido and Tiwa Savage. “Laye” and the Young Jonn-produced “Mama” followed, and his debut album New Era arrived in 2016. A public contract dispute ended with him leaving G-Worldwide, and in November 2017 he launched his own label, Flyboy I.N.C.
His albums since include No Bad Songz (2018), King of Love (2020), Barnabas (2021), Maverick (2023), TZA (2024) and Uncle K: Lemon Chase (2025). “Buga” (2022), with Tekno, was one of the biggest African songs of that year.
