Biography
Mavo is Oseremen Marvin Ukanigbe, a Nigerian singer and songwriter born in Ekpoma, Edo State, on 1 November 2003. He grew up partly in Warri, Delta State, and got the name Mavo in the music club at Lumen Christi International High School. He is known for the slang in his lyrics.
He broke through in 2025 with “Escaladizzy” and “Shakabulizzy”, then “Money Constant” with Wizkid and “Body (Danz)” with CKay, his first number 1 in Nigeria. His mixtapes include Ukanigbe (2023), Kilometer II (2025), which reached number 4 on the TurnTable albums chart, and Business (July 2026), which reached number 3.
In late 2026 he is on “Big Bum Bum” with Kidd Carder, “Mofe”, “Ice Cream” and “Energy” with Tiwa Savage and Wande Coal, all on Apple Music’s Afrobeats Hits: Best of 2026.
