Biography
Scotts Maphuma is Mpho Lebajoa, a South African amapiano singer and songwriter. His songs “Yebo Lapho” and “Wishi Wishi” took off on TikTok, along with a dance challenge built around his moves and his catchphrase “bathini bona” (“What did they say?”). Pretoria News called him “the next big thing in amapiano” in December 2024.
His debut album, Saka, came out in 2022. PIATO (A Different Chapter), an eight-track project mixing amapiano and kwaito, followed on 13 December 2024, then Piato (Chapter 1) in December 2025 and Gijima with Bob Mabena in March 2026.
He is one of the leads on “Nakupenda” with TxC, Davido and Shoday, featuring Zlatan and Al Xapo, which reached number 3 in Nigeria, and he appears on “Kutsa” from MBUZI and Kabza De Small’s ACHE (2026).
