Kweku Darlington is Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, a singer, rapper and producer from Kumasi, born on 17 July 1996. He started writing and recording at 14 and made it to the boot camp of TV3’s Mentor Reloaded in 2019, going out in the first eviction.
After the show he kept releasing singles, “Obaa ne Barima” the best received of them. Then, on 21 March 2021, came “Sika Aba Fie” with Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick. It sat on Ghana’s radio charts for weeks, and the May remix added Fameye and Kuami Eugene. The song earned him six nominations at the 2022 3Music Awards, including Song of the Year and Breakthrough Act.
“Aketesia”, with Laycon and Medikal, “Sika Kankan”, “Baabi Awu” and “Onipa”, with Fameye and Okyeame Kwame, followed. Since then he has kept up a steady run of singles such as “Bad People Do Good” with Amerado, “Grateful To Your Ex” and “Tobinco” with Bisa Kdei, and in 2026 he released the project A Darling Thing. His Darlington 4 Kidz Foundation supports children in need.
