Two of Kumasi’s own have reunited. Strongman, the freestyle champion turned label boss, and Kweku Darlington, the voice behind “Sika Aba Fie”, have released “Disco”, a new single out on Friday through Strongman’s label, Strong Empire.
Strongman and Kweku Darlington’s Kumasi link-up
The two rappers both come from Kumasi, and this is not their first collaboration. Strongman’s 2024 single “Focus” featured Kweku Darlington, and later that year they both appeared on Kojoike’s “Enjoy Life”. This time they share the credit equally.
Strongman’s busy year
Strongman, born Osei Kwaku Vincent in Buokrom, has released a long list of singles in 2026, among them “Pensandote”, “Akua Donkor” with DarkoVibes, “LOMO (League On My Own)” with Sarkodie, “Yaanom” with Tinny, “The Statement” and, in October, “Everlasting” with Ayisi.
He has been a frequent guest as well, on Oseikrom Sikanii and Bosom P-Yung’s “Decision”, Ricky’s “Joy” and Keeny Ice’s “3RD EYE”. Apple Music also lists Freddy Blaze’s “Yagye Block”, with Strongman and Ypee, for release on 7 November.
Kweku Darlington in 2026
Kweku Darlington, born Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, broke through in 2021 with “Sika Aba Fie” alongside Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick, a song that earned him six nominations at the 2022 3Music Awards. This year he released the project A Darling Thing and the single “Dance with You”, and featured on Kojoike’s “Yebedidi” and Flowking Stone’s “Angelina”.
