Seyi Vibez released SWAGUU on 17 September 2026 through NSNV Inc and EMPIRE. It is 14 tracks long, runs around 34 minutes, and comes only ten months after FUJI MOTO. For most artists that would be a quick turnaround. For Seyi Vibez, who has put out a project almost every few months since 2021, it is close to normal.
What makes this one different is who was in the room. According to DancehallMag, the album was executive-produced by Burna Boy, and the only guest on it is Quavo.

The Burna Boy connection is not new. In January 2024, Seyi Vibez spoke about the advice the Grammy winner had given him, and it was short: “Show no sign of weakness, bro. Keep moving.” Two and a half years later, Burna Boy’s name sits on the album credits as executive producer.
That role is usually about shaping the whole record: choosing songs, pushing the sequencing and deciding what the album should say. It is hard to know exactly how hands-on he was, and neither artist has said much in public. What is clear is that the finished album has far fewer guests than FUJI MOTO, and at least one reviewer has called it the most focused project of his career.
One guest, used in an unusual way
FUJI MOTO, released in November 2025, leaned on American names. French Montana, NLE Choppa and Trippie Redd were all on it, along with Olamide. SWAGUU strips that back to a single feature.
Quavo appears on the title track, “Swaguu”, and it is placed last. At 1:18 it is also the shortest song on the album. Plenty of artists would make a Quavo collaboration the lead single and build the rollout around it. Seyi Vibez tucks it in at the end, after 13 songs of himself.
Reviewers have not agreed on how well it works. Album Talks noted that the Quavo hook leans on a repetitive structure. A review posted by Ataa Radio went further and argued the album falls short of expectations, with the Quavo verse failing to bring the international shine it was meant to. Either way, it is a choice that keeps the album sounding like Seyi Vibez and not like a crossover project.
The tracklist
The album opens with “Volume” and “GTA”. “GTA” came out as a single at the end of July, and “Back 2 U” followed ahead of the album too. Most of the rest was new on release day.
The Yoruba and English titles sit side by side, as they always have with him: “Ilome”, “Alafia”, “Alubarika”, “El Jaja” and “Akpan Akpari” next to “Diamonds”, “Melanin”, “GOD” and “Pansa”. Balogun produced “Ilome”. “Oble (Original)” is one of the shortest songs at 1:44, and the album closes with “Swaguu”.
Album Talks picked out a few details worth listening for. “GOD” is built on live drums, crashing cymbals and trumpet horns. “Back 2 U” carries a reggaeton flavour. “Melanin” is an uptempo pop record, and “Ilome” is one of the more emotional moments on the album.
What the critics said
Album Talks gave SWAGUU 7.1 out of 10. Its reviewer, TJ Martins, called it “a sonic triumph that manages to integrate his street, indigenous charisma into more Afro-pop leaning sensibilities.” The same review argued that some of that ingenuity gets lost in translation, and that the production in the newer, poppier sections does not always match his energy.
That tension is the story of the record. Seyi Vibez built his name on street-pop, with the fuji, apala and tungba rhythms that ran through Billion Dollar Baby in 2022. SWAGUU nudges toward Afropop without walking away from that base. Whether that is a step forward or a softening depends on which Seyi Vibez you came for.
Where it sits in his catalogue
Seyi Vibez won Best Street-Hop Artiste at the 16th Headies in 2023 for “Chance (Na Ham)”, and he finished 2025 as the second most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria. His reach goes beyond Nigeria too: he features on Black Sherif’s 2025 album Iron Boy.
The label credits also show how far he has moved. His early projects came out through Dvpper Music. From 2025 they carry his own NSNV Inc name, and from FUJI MOTO onwards, EMPIRE. SWAGUU is the second album of that new setup, and the first with Burna Boy’s name on it.
