Biography

Cojo Rae is Raymond Agyapong, a Ghanaian singer and rapper who came up in Kumasi, where he attended Opoku Ware Senior High School (OWASS) and finished in 2022.

While still at school he signed to Wayne Chavis Records, the label that worked on Black Sherif’s “Second Sermon”. Straight after school in 2022 he released “Don’t Need Your Love” and “Jah Guide”, and by March 2023 the two songs had passed 1.7 million streams on Boomplay.

His Audiomack profile calls him the originator of “Gen Z Highlife”, and in October 2026 he released an album of that name, after the EP Before the Album in June. Earlier projects include FODE (2024) and Akata Love (2025). His singles include “Aketesia”, “Kwesi Arthur”, “Kwesi Arthur II” with Quamina MP, “Yagye Nsam” with Jay Bahd and Strongman, and “Iskoki”.

He has also worked with Ypee, Sista Afia, Kofi Mole, L Blay and Bellogod.
