King Promise, born Gregory Bortey Newman, is a Ghanaian Afropop and highlife singer known for his smooth vocals and polished production. Rising out of the Ghanaian music scene in the mid-2010s, he quickly built a reputation for melodic Afrobeats-infused pop with tracks that blend English and Twi. His debut album ‘Remember Me’ (2018) cemented his status as one of Ghana’s leading voices, followed by the major-label release ‘5 Star’ (2022) on Empire. He has collaborated with Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, and international acts, earning consistent airplay across West Africa and the diaspora.
