Biography

Ofori Amponsah, also known as Mr. All 4 Real, is a highlife singer and songwriter born Samuel Ofori Amponsah on 2 March 1974 in Agogo, in the Ashanti Region. He went to Konongo Odumase Senior High School, where he wrote poetry that later became lyrics, most famously on “Asew”. He started writing songs at 13, inspired by Michael Jackson.

He began working with Daddy Lumba in 1999 and appeared on Lumba’s album Wo Ho Kyere. His own debut, Asew, came out in 2001. “Otoolege” (2005), with K.K. Fosu, Kofi Nti and Barosky, won him seven awards in one night at the 2006 Ghana Music Awards, including Artiste of the Year. Emmanuella, Odwo and The Return of Kofi B all followed in 2007.

In 2014 he released a gospel album, The Gospel According to Ofori, and started a ministry, then returned to love songs with “Alewa” featuring Sarkodie in 2015. Wikipedia counts fourteen solo albums, the latest listed being Million Dollar (2020). In 2026 he remixed “Odo Nwom” with Stonebwoy and KiDi and released “Jane (Remix)” with Kurl Songx.
