Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale - Sweet cover art

Six years after “Ahodwo Las Vegas”, Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale are back on the same record. “Sweet” came out on 21 October 2026 on Kweku Flick’s own imprint through ONErpm, and the visualizer that followed three days later had passed 100,000 YouTube views by early November. The song is 2 minutes and 54 seconds long.

Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale: a second meeting

In 2020, a Kumasi teenager who had just finished at St. Hubert Seminary turned up on Shatta Wale’s “Ahodwo Las Vegas”. That was Kweku Flick, real name Andy Osei Sarfo, born in Kumasi on 16 May 2001. The same year his single “Money” made him one of the fastest-rising names in the city, and he was also on Kweku Darlington’s “Sika Aba Fie”, one of the big Ghanaian songs of 2021.

The roles have flipped since. On “Ahodwo Las Vegas” he was the young guest on a Shatta Wale record. “Sweet” is credited to Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale, with the younger man’s name first and his label on the copyright line. The Ghana News Agency covered the release as “another collaboration” between the two, and described a pairing of Flick’s melodic delivery with Shatta Wale’s dancehall energy.

The cover and the rollout

The single’s artwork got people talking before the song did. GNA noted the red, candy-style “SWEET” lettering swarming with ants, an image that does the job of a title on its own. The release came in stages: an audioslide on Kweku Flick’s channel on release day, then the visualizer on 24 October. A fan channel had a clip up even before the stores, on 19 October.

Shatta Wale’s busy autumn

Shatta Wale has barely stopped releasing music in 2026. After his album African King, he kept the singles coming with “AI” in August and “Spiritual School” and “Heat” in September, then a guest verse on Medikal’s “Sika” in early October. “Sweet” followed, and nine days later Apple listed another guest spot, “Spin” by Nawtyboi Tattoo featuring Shatta Wale. He turned 42 on 17 October, four days before “Sweet” landed.

His fans, the Shatta Movement, are among the most organised in Ghana, and his name on a credit brings them along. For Kweku Flick, that is the point. He has recorded with Sarkodie (“Fire”), Strongman (“Attack”), Kuami Eugene (“No Sleeping”), Ko-Jo Cue and Black Sherif, and before the 2022 World Cup he teamed up with Smallgod on the supporters’ song “Blackstars”. “Sweet” adds a second Shatta Wale credit to that list.

What comes next

Kweku Flick opens most of his songs with “PAW”, short for Prayers Always Work, and he has built a career by moving between drill, highlife and Afrobeats without settling in one. Apple files “Sweet” under African music, which is about as broad as a label gets. That suits him.

Play “Ahodwo Las Vegas” and then “Sweet”. The distance between the two tells you how far Kweku Flick has come in six years.
