Yaw Tog announced “Dreamer” with a countdown: “THURSDAY 23:59”. He posted the teaser on 27 October 2026, and the official music video went up just before midnight on the Thursday, with the stores following on 30 October. It is a short single, 2 minutes and 24 seconds, released through his own TogLife Records and ONErpm.

Yaw Tog “Dreamer”: the team behind it

The video description lists the credits in full. “Dreamer” was produced by ke fang, mixed and mastered by Possi Gee, and the music video was made by FUGEMEDIA. The description’s hashtags file it under hip-hop and amapiano. That second tag is worth noting for an artist whose name is still tied to drill.

His previous single, “2FLY” in July 2026, came from a different producer, SectorMadeIt, who also engineered it. Two singles in four months, two different producers.

Six years on from “Sore”

Yaw Tog is Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, born in Kumasi on 8 May 2003 and raised in Santasi. The video director Koo Poku found him while he was still at Opoku Ware Senior High School. In 2020, at 17, he released “Sore” with O’Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie and Jay Bahd. The Twi-language drill song became the anthem of Kumasi’s Asakaa movement, and the remix with Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy took it around the world. He sat his final school exams the following year.

Since then he has worked through three projects: the TIME EP (2021), Young & Matured (2024) and Tog City, released in October 2025 with “Miracle” featuring Stonebwoy and “City Boy” featuring Darkovibes. “Dreamer” lands almost exactly a year after Tog City.

Why the title fits

The title says what this stage of his career is about. He is 23 now, past the school-uniform story that followed him through 2021, and his project titles have tracked that change. Young & Matured was a statement about growing up in public. “Dreamer” points the other way, towards what he still wants.

Yaw Tog also has a habit of letting his songs travel through dance and social clips. “Fake Ex” (2021) still pulls views on his channel, with more than two million on the official video. The “Dreamer” video had about 12,000 views in its first days, which is a slower start, and the next few weeks will show whether the song finds the kind of second life on TikTok that his bigger records have had.

Where to listen

The ONErpm smart link (onerpm.link/yt-dreamer) points to Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay and the other stores, and the video is on his YouTube channel, @yaw_tog. He is on Instagram as yawtog_yt and on TikTok as yawtog_ytg.

Watch “Dreamer”, then play “Sore” straight after. Same city, same rapper, six years apart.
