Every song on Kweku Smoke’s new album is in the top 20 of Apple Music Ghana Chart. All 13 of them. The chart for 28 September 2026 has Kweku Smoke at numbers one through nine, and NO DAYS OFF takes 13 of the 20 places.
Most of the other places go to Black Sherif. Five of the six songs on his EP SUN SHERIF are in the top 20, and the sixth, “Run Around”, is just outside at 21. Both projects came out in the first week of September, which means 18 of the 20 biggest songs in the country right now come from two releases that dropped within a day of each other.
Only two places are left for anyone else. Davido holds one with a song from his album Oriadé, and Fameye holds the other with a highlife single.
Here is the full top 20.
1. Bra by Kweku Smoke
“Bra” is the album’s longest song at 2:59, and it sits at the top of the chart. That tells you something about the whole record, because Kweku Smoke did not make a single song on NO DAYS OFF longer than three minutes. The album runs about 33 minutes over 13 tracks and came out on 4 September, his birthday, through his own Scatter Der label.
Holding number one more than three weeks after release is not the same as debuting there. Big Ghanaian albums often open at the top and then slip back as listeners move on. NO DAYS OFF has not slipped yet.
2. Bombele by Kweku Smoke
“Bombele” is produced by Kayomi, who also worked on Kweku Smoke’s 2024 album Born in Hell. It is also one of the shortest songs on the album at 2:21. Like most of the tracks in this top 20, it gets in, says what it has to say, and gets out.
3. Faith by Kweku Smoke and Lasmid
“Faith” is the only song in the top ten that came out before the album. Kweku Smoke released it as a single on 28 August, a week ahead of NO DAYS OFF, and it closes the album. Mog Beatz produced it.
Lasmid also has “Liquor Store” at 25 on this chart and appears on KiDi’s “Signature” at 27, so he is having a good month in his own right.
4. Survivor by Kweku Smoke
The song titles on NO DAYS OFF read like a single idea stretched across a whole record: “Survivor”, “Soul Healer”, “Halleluyah”, “Through The Pain”, “Life Of A Hustler”. “Survivor” is the highest-placed of those songs, which suggests the struggle-and-faith theme is what listeners are connecting with most.
5. Soul Healer by Kweku Smoke
Five songs in and it is still all the same artist. “Soul Healer” is one of ten solo songs on the album. NO DAYS OFF has only three features in total, and that is unusual for a Ghanaian rap album with this much commercial weight. His 2020 album Snoop Forever had ten guests across 16 songs.
6. Halleluyah by Kweku Smoke
Apple Music spells it “Halleluyah”, and it runs 2:23. Faith has been present in Kweku Smoke’s music for years (his biggest award winner so far is called “Holy Ghost”), and this song carries that into the new album. “Holy Ghost” won Best Rap Performance and Best Hip Hop Song at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
7. Mmereniho by Kweku Smoke and Dikoo
Dikoo is the second of the album’s three guests, and “Mmereniho” is one of two songs with a Twi title (the other is “Okwantunii”). Kweku Smoke has always written in a mix of Twi, English and Pidgin. At 2:55, it is also one of the longer tracks on a very short album.
8. Okwantunii by Kweku Smoke
“Okwantunii” has moved up to eighth, swapping places with “Power House”. It is another solo song and another one of the album’s short tracks, at 2:26.
9. Power House by Kweku Smoke and Kwesi Arthur
This is the feature with the most history behind it. Kwesi Arthur was on Snoop Forever six years ago, when Kweku Smoke was still signed to Krakye Geng. The two came up in the same wave of Ghanaian rap. “Power House” is the last Kweku Smoke song before Black Sherif finally breaks the run.
10. Jolie by Black Sherif
“Jolie” is the most popular song from SUN SHERIF on this chart, and it is a love song. That is a real change for Black Sherif, whose reputation was built on grief and survival in “First Sermon”, “Second Sermon” and “Kwaku the Traveller”. Apple Music files the EP under R&B/Soul, not hip-hop, and “Jolie” is a big reason why: it is a plain declaration of affection with none of the armour he usually wears.
Ghanaian listeners seem to have taken to the softer version of him. Five of the six songs on the EP are in this top 20.
11. Life Of A Hustler by Kweku Smoke
After the Black Sherif interruption, Kweku Smoke is back. “Life Of A Hustler” is close to a summary of the album’s title: the grind, with no days off.
12. Expresso by Black Sherif
“Expresso” opens SUN SHERIF and, at 2:09, is the shortest song in this top 20. It is about ambition and success mixed with romance, and it sets up the rest of the EP: the hustle is still there, but it is no longer the only thing he writes about.
13. No Days Off by Kweku Smoke
The title track sits at 13, lower than you might expect. On this album, though, the title is less a single than a mission statement. It is 2:20 long and does exactly what the name says.
14. Forever by Black Sherif featuring AratheJay
“Forever” is the longest song in the top 20 at 3:16, and it returns a favour. In 2024 AratheJay put Black Sherif on “Jesus Christ 2”, and here Black Sherif does the same for him. The song brings together devotion, faith and ambition.
AratheJay is doing well on his own too: “FAMAME” is at 23 and “METICULOUS” is at 26. He also appeared on Kweku Smoke’s 2025 album WALK WITH ME, which ties him to both of the projects that own this chart.
15. Set it Straight by Kweku Smoke
Deep into the list, the album is still going. “Set it Straight” is the 12th Kweku Smoke song on the chart so far, and he still has one more to come.
16. Through The Pain by Kweku Smoke
This is the last of the 13, and it completes the set. Every track on NO DAYS OFF is now inside the top 20. By late September the album had also passed 3.8 million plays on Audiomack, so the Apple Music numbers are not a one-platform fluke.
17. Frontline by Black Sherif
“Frontline” is the song on SUN SHERIF that sounds most like the Black Sherif of old: street life, hustle and survival. It is interesting that it sits below the three romantic songs above it. For now, at least, listeners seem to want the new Blacko more than the familiar one.
18. B4 B4 by Davido, FOLA and Mayorkun
This is the only non-Ghanaian song in the top 20, and it has lasted. “B4 B4” comes from Davido‘s album Oriadé, released on 31 July to mark his 15 years in music. Fresh VDM produced it. It reunites Davido with his former DMW signee Mayorkun and adds FOLA from a younger generation of Nigerian artists.
The video came out in mid-August. It was shot in Lagos and is built around Nigerian fashion and craft, and it has helped keep the song in rotation two months after the album came out. Black Sherif is also on Oriadé, on “Amazing Grace”, and he is the only Ghanaian on the record.
19. Gen Z by Fameye
Fameye is the only Ghanaian act in the top 20 who is not Kweku Smoke or Black Sherif, and he got there with a single, not a project. “Gen Z” came out on 24 July through Fameye Worldwide. It is a highlife song with advice for a younger generation, and at 2:25 it is as short as everything else around it.
Holding on for more than two months against two new projects from the country’s biggest rap names is quite an achievement for a standalone single.
20. Love Again by Black Sherif featuring Full Blown
“Love Again” closes SUN SHERIF and closes this list. Full Blown are a duo from Trinidad, which is an unexpected link for a Ghanaian record, and the song ends the EP with Black Sherif letting himself believe in love again. It is the fifth SUN SHERIF song in the top 20.
Just outside the top 20
“Run Around”, the one SUN SHERIF song that did not make the list, is at 21. Asake has two songs close behind, “Forgiveness” at 22 and “Gratitude” at 24, with AratheJay’s “FAMAME” between them. Further down, Okese1’s “Dont Come Too Close II” with DarkoVibes, Sista Afia and Joey B is at 29, and an older Kweku Smoke song, “Hold Tight”, is at 30. Even the back catalogue is charting.
The question for next week is whether anything can break up the two-album hold on the top 20. For now, Ghana’s listening is split between Kweku Smoke’s grind and Black Sherif’s sunshine, and there is little room for anything else.
